I thought only Native Americans with cultural exemptions could build tiki huts. What's the deal? The standard tiki hut has 2 components to it: the frame and the roof. The Frame of a Tiki hut has the same general restrictions for any temporary wooden structure in your area. the choice of material is simply a matter of aesthetics. The roof on the other hand is where the discrepancy lies. If the client wants a natural thatch, they need to contact a licensed contractor registered in tiki huts or contact a native tribe with cultural exemption status. We on the other hand ONLY offer synthetic thatch with our exclusive companies, guaranteeing our builds last as long as possible and are maintenance-free for years to come.
